RED MALACHITE S$70 sold

This gorgeous creamy gemstone with its pale red banding is like a woman who's been married for so long people have forgotten her actual family name. Known to most people as red malachite, this gemstone is actually a banded jasper. Like all jasper, it's part of the chalcedony "family." The "marriage" of jasper's lovely colors with malachite's fine banding makes red malachite unusually beautiful. In this creation I've teamed the red malachite beads with mixed agate small nuggets. A solid puffed red malachite heart dangles off a 24k goldplated dragonfly toggle. In this picture I've laid out the necklace with the heart and toggle dropping from the centre
