MARY LYE
This evening, I received a special request from Stella and her colleagues to create a gift for a very special friend, Mary Lye. Mary is leaving the company to have some private time. Stella described Mary as she knows her and left the rest to me. I know this is a very special person they're talking about, someone I imagine they could turn to and confide in because that’s just the kind of person Mary is.
I've chosen aventurine and jade for Mary. The imperial seal of China was cut from aventurine (at a time before jade became popular there) because the stones of heaven were all thought to be green. Green aventurine has a binding and healing force. This creation is therefore ideal for dear Mary Lye.
