ROSE SYRUP (ER 04/07 - 319) S$25 SOLD

We have a drink in Singapore, Malaysia too and I'm sure in the countries of our other neighbours, called Bandung. It is basically rose syrup (probably sugar water flavoured with rose essence and vanilla extract) and a dash of milk - fresh/condensed/evaporated or all of the above. It is very popular in some communities and quite pleasant if you're into sweet stuff otherwise I'm sure you'd develop diabetes just by looking at it because it is cloyingly sweet and I do mean S W E E E E E T. Anyhow, this pretty pair of earrings reminds me of the drink so much so I can smell the rose essence and vanilla extract (oh yes....I have a vivid imagination which borders on the ridiculous but it keeps me happy)

Pretty pink and white roses on fuschia background polymer clay beads and fuschia czech coin shape beads. Rhodium plated leverbacks and sterling silver for the rest of the metalwork. Approx 6 cm drop.
